About
Kelan (Lilly) Lu is currently an associate professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of South Carolina. She received her Ph.D. from the University of North Texas (UNT) in 2012. Professor Lu taught Comparative Politics, Comparative Political Economy, International Relations of East Asian and the Comparative Politics of Adversarial States. Professor Lu’s research interests focus on comparative political economy, particularly the role played by domestic politics in the dynamics of bilateral foreign direct investment (FDI). She is also interested in applications of dynamic panel data modeling.
Research
Kelan Lu's research focuses on studying the multinational corporations' location selection behavior under different political risks and exploring how foreign direct investment affect domestic and international politics.
