Dr. Harris most recently served as the Director of Student Success Coaching at Claflin University.  She has held previous executive-level positions in the areas of advising, admissions, academic support and career counseling.  She received her Ed.D. in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University, an M.A. in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and earned a B.A.  in Psychology from South Carolina State University.

Since 2011 she has taught Claflin’s First Year Orientation course (similar to UNIV 101), so she is well versed in the challenges and opportunities of student success both inside and outside the classroom. She has presented widely at professional conferences on topics such as student success, first-year pathways, retention, and workforce development.  She is an active member of a number of professional associations and holds certifications and licenses in her fields.  She has also  been recognized by her peers with several awards that denote excellence in student success, advising, and leadership.
