As a unit of the Office of Faculty Affairs, we partner with collaborators to host events that highlight teaching innovations and promote professional development. Educators representing various departments come together to present and share innovative teaching strategies, and celebrate teaching. These efforts support educators in their teaching excellence and overall career growth.

  Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Showcase

  At the Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Showcase,  faculty from the AI Teaching Fellowship will present their hands-on experiences integrating GenAI into their teaching practices.

  First-Generation Symposium

  The First-Generation Symposium provides an opportunity  to explore how to cultivate academic success and foster well-being and a sense of belonging among USC’s first-generation students.

  Oktoberbest:  A Symposium on Teaching

  The Oktoberbest symposium celebrates teaching success at USC and actively engages attendees in professional development sessions that enhance innovative teaching practices.

  New Faculty Orientation

  This welcome and orientation helps all new faculty make a smooth, enjoyable transition to the University.

• 

  GTA/IA Orientation

  GTA/IA Orientation is a crucial component of the University’s Graduate TA/IA Training Program, designed to ensure the success of TAs and IAs at USC.

  Adjunct Faculty Orientation

  All new and current USC adjunct faculty are invited to participate in a virtual 90 minute orientation session.
